remind me dear blog...

i am not a fan of malay novels. apart from ranjau sepanjang jalan, keluarga gerilya, tenggelamnya kapal van der wijck, di bawah lindungan kaabah and isteri (which i sneak-read my sister's), i can hardly remember any other malay/indonesian novels that i have read, let alone owning one. my favourite are john grishams' and micheal crichtons' and there were times i also read judith mcnaught (yukss !!). i would like to start reading malay novels seriously .. i read that there a few good malay writers now who writes with substance. so, allocation will be made to buy Faisal tehrani's for a start, insyaAllah.

p/s: i am now into my 6th day of work :P alhamdulillah now that i am working, temporary job though, but then it means that i get paid to do things and in my case, thing that i like doing. and that is the reason i am planning to "PURCHASE" things again ... :P

Salam.

I was once didn't like Malay novels either, but now I can't get enough of them.
I guess it's because of the connotation 'Malay Novels' which is usually associated with 'novel cinta remaja' and 'sastera pop.'
But we have plenty of good, contemporary Malay novels nowadays.
And to start with Faisal Tehrani's works is a good move.
Good luck!
